CCC Master Plan Meeting for AOAs

Curious about the future of the Chaska Community Center? Have you heard talk about "the master plan"? It is important to the City that we get participation from our active older adults who currently are members and regular visitors in the building. At this meeting, you will be given the opportunity to provide feedback about the community center to help shape future programming and building improvements.

The day begins with a guided tour of the new, Hocokata Ti, cultural center and gathering place in Shakopee. This 4,000 square foot exhibit includes many Dakota Sioux artifacts and will enhance visitors’ knowledge and understanding of the Mdewakanton Dakota people and their history. Following the tour, enjoy a delicious lunch at locally famous – Dangerfield’s Restaurant. Registration and payment deadline: Thursday, July 7.

Sudden cardiac arrest affects over 356,000 Americans annually, or approximately 1000 people per day. CPR is the most effective initial treatment for cardiac arrest and when initiated early, can greatly increases the victim’s chance of survival. 
 
In this introductory class EMS professionals from Ridgeview Ambulance Service will be teaching CPR, hands-only CPR, AED use, as well as other life saving interventions that can be easily performed and have the potential to one day save a life.  This class is open to all regardless of knowledge, experience or physical ability and will be provided in a fun, low-key atmosphere.  Pre-registration necessary, first come, first serve. Potential additional offering this Fall.
